Celuna Account & Data Deletion

How to delete your Celuna account and the data associated with it.

Option 1 — Delete from within the app

Open Celuna → the menu → Settings → Delete My Account & Data. You'll be asked to confirm twice before anything is deleted, since this action is permanent.

Option 2 — Request deletion without the app installed

Email support.celuna@gmail.com from an email address you can be reached at, and ask us to delete your Celuna account and data.

Most Celuna accounts are anonymous — there is no username, password, or email tied to your account by default. Because of that, we may not be able to locate or verify your specific account from an approximate signup date or device description alone. If you linked a Google account in Celuna, please mention that in your email — it's the most reliable way for us to find your account. Otherwise, please include whatever details you have; we'll follow up if we need more information to safely verify and locate the right account before deleting anything.

What gets deleted

  • Your Celuna account (Firebase authentication record)
  • Your Celuna cloud profile record
  • Your subscription/purchase history held by our payments provider (RevenueCat)
  • Everything saved locally in the app on your device (intentions, journal entries, practice history, preferences, and cached media)
  • Your invite code, the invites you sent and your reward records
  • Your synced personal content and attachments (if you used account sync)
  • The one-way, app-scoped technical device identifiers registered for the two-device Premium limit

What we retain

After deletion, the account, profile, personal content, sync data, device registrations, invite code and reward records that can be linked to you are deleted, and a deletion request is sent to RevenueCat (our subscription-management processor).

Two technical records can remain after deletion. Neither contains your name, email address, profile or personal content. First: if you were invited and your invite had already counted, a record of that count can remain so that the inviter’s earned count does not fall. Your account identifier in that record is replaced by a random marker; the record stays tied to the inviter’s account only and is removed when the inviter deletes theirs.

Second: a one-way technical hash of your account ID, together with the timestamps of the deletion, is kept so that a deleted account cannot be processed again and to guard against invite abuse. The code sets no automatic expiry, so it is kept for as long as Celuna operates its invite security and abuse protection. The original account ID is cleared from this record once the deletion has been confirmed with RevenueCat.

Two things worth knowing, based directly on our processors' own published policies:

  • RevenueCat: our deletion request asks RevenueCat to permanently delete your subscriber record and purchase history from their live systems (per their own API documentation, this runs asynchronously and can't be undone). RevenueCat processes this data on our behalf as a data processor, under our Terms of Service/Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with them. After a deletion request, some copies may persist briefly in RevenueCat's systems per their standard backup/archival practices; no specific number of days or years is published for that, so we don't state a duration here (see revenuecat.com/dpa).
  • Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics): these are never linked to your account or identity in the first place, so account deletion doesn't affect them one way or the other — Google's own published retention policy for Crashlytics keeps them for about 90 days, after which Google begins the process of removing them from its live and backup systems (see firebase.google.com/support/privacy).

This does not cancel a Google Play or App Store subscription

Deleting your Celuna account removes your account and data as described above, but it does not automatically cancel an active subscription billed through Google Play or the App Store. Subscriptions are managed entirely by those stores.

To stop a subscription from renewing, cancel it directly:
Google Play: Play Store app → Menu → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
App Store: iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
